Mirinsing Angkang is a Geologist(Central Geological Service-UPSC 2020) at the Geological Survey of India, State Unit: Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, Ministry of Mines, Government of India. He is involved in exploration projects of precious and strategic minerals of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry especially in Dharmapuri Shear Zone and Wayanad-Nilgiris. He is also engaged in research work in parts of North-East India. He is interested in Ethnography, Ethonogeology, Geo-Mythology, Geo-Heritage, Geo-tourism ,Geomorphology, Remote Sensing, GIS and ethnic origin of the Hao-Wung(Tangkhul) Nagas.
